  • To improve the communicative competence of the participant. This involves the achievement of the four language skills and the idiomatic expressions in the context in which the language is going to be used, and the recognition of pragmatic elements that intervene in a speaking situation.
  • To introduce new vocabulary in everyday situations in an environment of complete immersion.
  • To produce oral or written texts that will enable the student to communicate correctly.

2 - 3 weeks

COURSE CONTENTS:

a)   Language Instruction. - 3hours/day. Classes are held in mini-groups of 3 or 4 students.

Spanish grammatical structure is the core of the course; lexicon and practical activities will run parallel. Syllabus includes dynamic activities to introduce the topics.

b)   Evaluation. - Students will be evaluated during the course by completing a portfolio with all the activities and an oral presentation at the end of the course.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES:

  • HANDICRAFTS. - Painting, modeling clay
  • COOKING. - Traditional Ecuadorian dishes
  • SALSA LESSONS. - Tropical dancing
  • VISITS. - Cultural and social sites in the city
